I read somewhere that “file hosting” wasn’t allowed. I assume that means hosting downloads for files to stop people from using the server for pirated media and to minimize the amount of bandwidth is used.
I’d like to know if I would be allowed to host files for use with my software, specifically a json file for update checking, a txt file for changelogs, and potentially at some point small png files for specific events and such. The software would need to download these files off the server to get information from them and use them. If that isn’t allowed, that’s fine. I just want to know the specific boundaries for this case. Thanks.
