Subject: Issue with Database Access in InfinityFree Account

Dear InfinityFree Support Team,

I am using my account (Username: ifo_38482940) to build a website with a MySQL database, but I am encountering an access issue. The details of the problem are as follows:

  • Database: ifo_38482940_Footdb
  • User: ifo_38482940_user
  • Password: [I will provide the password privately if needed]
  • Error Received: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user ‘ifo_38482940_user’@‘192.168.0.137’ (using password: YES)

I have linked the user to the database in the MySQL Databases section, configured my PHP files with the correct details (host: sql104.infinityfree.com, database: ifo_38482940_Footdb, user: ifo_38482940_user, password: [I will provide the password privately if needed]), and updated the files multiple times. However, I still receive the same error. Please investigate whether there is an issue with the user’s access to the database or if any specific server-side adjustments are needed.

Check your database name and password, one of them is wrong. Your DB pass is different from the base password

Please note that:

  • The account prefix is if0, not ifo. That’s with the number zero, not the letter O.
  • The database username is always your account username. You cannot create custom users with your own suffixes, that’s a premium only feature.
