Isn't domain supposed to work without "www" now? (SSL)

Website URL

https://bandallegra.be/

Error Message

This site can’t be reached
bandallegra.be took too long to respond.

Other Information

So it worked previously as: https://www.bandallegra.be but I just saw the SSL announcement (and I can’t request a new certificate anymore). What I’ve read in that topic, the same URL without “www” should be working automatically, but it doesn’t?

Nevermind, working now… No clue why but ok.

When checking today on another computer, the https link won’t load (with or without www).
Does anyone have a pointer to help me out please?

This is not even related to SSL. This means you cannot connect to the server, so the issue is most likely due to something else.

Then you didn’t read carefully enough, that’s for the free subdomains. You are not using a free subdomain, that doesn’t apply to you. And you doesn’t have automattic SSL no matter what version you use.

Well, it works with http://www.bandallegra.be
The certificate, even though installed, doesn’t appear to become “live” anymore. The previously installed certificate also was no longer live:

It does feel related to the generic change, but then again I’m not very technical. Any further suggestions are welcome!
(FWIW, I’m not paying for the subdomain here, hence my confusion probably.)

I checked your website earlier today and I had problems accessing it. But this was mainly because the server your website was on was having some issues. I think the general instability there also caused the Live SSL Status to be unable to access your website.

Your website seems to be working a lot better now, so I think this also fixed the SSL issue.
