I know, that this is likely not possible, but I’m genuinely depressed rn.
I spent DAYS making a website, I was away, couldn’t check my email for a few months … My account epiz_25167548 was suspended for inactivity… I just noticed my website is completely gone.
I was planning on making a backup, too.
I know it’s likely not possible, but I might as well ask.
Hello @ACreativeName, if the account is gone from the account screen, it’s probably gone for good. Only Admin or yourself will be able to confirm that. Note that taking a backup should be done ASAP, and you should always write your code on your personal machine, then upload it to the server. Note that all hosts (Not just free ones) can experience outages and broken equipment that can lose the files. If you were suspended for inactivity, you must have been gone for quite a while!
I’m sorry, but deleted really means deleted. Once your account is gone, it’s gone, and there is no way to get it back.
We warned down that your account was going to be shut down for inactivity on the 25th of June. After that, you still had more than two weeks to reactivate the account without any data loss.
And you only noticed it just now? One full month after the account was fully deleted?
Pro tip: don’t use any hosting at all, ever again until you can be sure that you can receive important account notifications.
Paid providers won’t delete your account due to inactivity, but they will delete your account if you don’t pay. And if there is no way for an renewal request to reach you, you will not be able to renew your paid service in time and lose it as well.
What you experienced here is not a problem of free hosting. It’s a problem of not checking your email in over 6 weeks.
We use your email address to send you important account notifications (and for nothing else), so always make sure that the email address is one where we can reach you. If you don’t provide us with a usable email address, the consequences are for you.
