My website is hosted with Namecheap using their DNS.
Is there a way to renew InfinityFree’s free SSL every 3 months without having to change the DNS in Namecheap to ns1.infinityfree.com, ns2.infinityfree.com?

As far as I know, there is no need to.
So my only concern is, what did you do that needed this cumbersome operation?
For your case, setting up respective CNAME record with NameCheap is what you need to do. Simple
I don’t think so; the record name should be _acme-challenge
, while the target (or destination) should be the destination for the record you find on your certificate request page.
I was saying the generic values as I didn’t manage a domain on Namecheap for quite a long time now, but anyway the host should be _acme-challenge
and the value for the record should be the destination for the record you still find on the certificate order page.
Thank you! Got it sorted!
