When I click on Build site and switch to site.pro it says it will ‘overwrite’’ my current site? Yet in the existing Vistapanel, I can’t seem to be able to edit my site.?!
Site.pro can only be used to edit sites made with site.pro.
So if you’ve uploaded your own page, you can’t edit it with site.pro…
Wow I said site.pro too many times in one comment
You can use whatever software you want to build your website. Using the Site.Pro website builder is one of the options you can use, but you’re by no means required to use it.
If you already have a website, you’ll probably want to use the tools of that website building software to manage your website.
You can switch to Site.Pro if you want. Site.Pro can even import the design and content of your existing site! But Site.Pro cannot copy the functionality of your website, and migrating is a one-way trip. So only do that if you know you want to switch.
Vistapanel is a hosting control panel, not a website editor.
Do you remember what you used to setup your website?
hmm…can’t remember! It’s been almost a year since I last updated my site…thanks anyway, appreciates!
I thot I could perhaps trace it in the hosting control panel or something…my website editor…
I think I used Softaculous which was available within the Vistapanel…
Usually you can tell how your site was made by looking at the website files. Most scripts leave copyright notices in their code files. And a trained eye can recognize software just by looking at the file structure.
It’s possible that you used Softaculous. If so, you should be able to login to Softaculous again, either through VistaPanel or directly from the client area. You should be able to see your website in the Installations in the list there, and there should be a button to login as admin to your website.
Regardless, whatever software you chose, it’s pretty much guaranteed to have some kind of admin panel yourself, which you can login to using the details you entered when installing the software.
