Other Information

Hello InfinityFree Support Team,

I am using your free hosting service and would like to ask a few technical questions regarding its capabilities.

I am developing a multiplayer game using the Godot engine and plan to use your hosting as a server to allow players from different locations to connect to the game server.

Here are my questions:

  1. Does your hosting support the UDP protocol in addition to TCP?

  2. Can I run a game server on your hosting using the ENet protocol (which relies on UDP)?

  3. Are there any restrictions on the open ports available on your hosting? If so, what ports are available for use?

  4. Is it possible to customize port settings or open specific ports to meet the needs of my game?

I appreciate your support and look forward to your response to clarify these points.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
[Abdallah]

Please understand that InfinityFree provides a website hosting service. There is simply no way to host any kind of game server with us because that’s not the kind of service we provide.

So the answer to all your questions is basically some variation of no, because none of those features make any sense for a website hosting service.

I think you may want to look for a VPS hosting service instead. With a VPS, you get your “own” server, generally with your own IP address, so you can run whatever software you want, and use whatever ports and protocols you want.
