Incorrect document root for custom domain – points to fps-nso54.rf.gd/htdocs instead of /htdocs

Hello,

I am having an issue with setting up my custom domain fps-nso54.ru on my InfinityFree account (if0_41780795).

The problem:
In the Domain Details section in the client area, the Directory for my domain is incorrectly set to fps-nso54.rf.gd/htdocs.

However, my website files are located in the main /htdocs folder. Because of this incorrect path, the domain does not load my site.

What I have tried so far:

  1. I deleted the domain and tried to re-add it as a Parked Domain, but parking is not available because there is “no existing domains on account”.

  2. I added it as an Addon Domain, but it creates a separate folder instead of pointing to /htdocs.

  3. My domain fps-nso54.ru currently shows the error: “This domain is already linked to another account” when I try to add it back via Addon Domains.

My goal:
I want fps-nso54.ru to point directly to the main /htdocs folder (the same folder where my free subdomain fps-nso54.rf.gd files are located), not to a separate fps-nso54.rf.gd/htdocs folder.

Could you please:

  1. Release the domain fps-nso54.ru from the old account it is locked to, and

  2. Help me set the correct document root to /htdocs either by enabling Parked Domain or manually correcting the path?

Thank you for your help.

Can’t quite follow your post - which domain did you delete?

If the free subdomain is active on your account, just add the custom domain as a parked domain (this should work, I could be wrong. Been awhile since I’ve tried this)

If it’s not, add the free subdomain, then the custom domain as a parked domain. Then move your files from /htdocs to /<free_subdomain>/htdocs.
