Error Message

Chain issues: Incomplete (SSL Labs gives grade B)

Other Information

Hi, I have a problem with the SSL certificate on boosthubsmm.top. The certificate is from Let’s Encrypt, valid from October 31, 2026 to January 29, 2027, and it is not expired, but the chain is incomplete. The server is only sending 1 certificate and does not send the intermediate, so SSL Labs gives grade B with the error “Chain issues: Incomplete” and on some PCs the site shows as not secure.

Could you please reinstall the certificate using the fullchain (the domain certificate + the Let’s Encrypt YR2 intermediate) and restart the server so it serves the complete chain? After that it should get grade A with no warning.

Domain: boosthubsmm.top
Server: openresty
IP: 185.27.134.115

Thanks.

Welcome to the InfinityFree community forum! Good to have you here.

  • Most people answering here are volunteers. They’re often the fastest source of help. Admin (the only staff member) checks in about once a day for issues on our end.
  • Volunteers can’t see your account or website. Share what you actually see, like error messages and what happens when you try something. That’s more useful than your theory of what’s wrong.
  • AI tools often get InfinityFree wrong. If a volunteer’s advice differs from what an AI told you, please try the volunteer’s suggestion first.
  • Solving an issue is a joint effort. Try the suggestions you get and report back what happened.

What exactly does the “not secure” warning say on the PCs where you see it? I need the browser, the Windows version and the exact wording or error code, such as NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID. A missing intermediate normally only lowers the SSL Labs grade. Browsers can usually fetch the intermediate themselves, so a real warning on some PCs might have a different cause.

Your chain report matches other recent topics. Those posters also saw only the leaf certificate served on a certificate installed from the panel, and none of them has an answer I can use:

An older topic from 2022 has a reply saying the same thing. It says the platform doesn’t send intermediate certificates, and that modern browsers and operating systems still connect fine, while Qualys grades it down.

That reply is from 2022, so it may be out of date. I also couldn’t find any source for installing a fullchain on your side or restarting the server.

Hi, I would like to add a second domain to this same request: pickdropcuba.shop. It has the same problem — the SSL chain is incomplete, so the site also shows as not secure (red warning). Could you please also reinstall the certificate for pickdropcuba.shop using the fullchain (the domain certificate + the Let’s Encrypt YR2 intermediate) and restart the server so it serves the complete chain, so it stays secure with no red warning? Thanks.
