I want all the opions i can get on these bastards

I have an enormous issue with these bastards… as they do nothing but rob my computers inputs and prevent me from studying here on infinity free.

FortiGuard

Cira

so please have opinions here:

Can’t say I’ve had dealings with either of them before

But looking at their sites, neither look like anything untoward?

They both keep blocking my connection to infinityfree assets.

If that is the case, contact them for a resolution. There may be an issue you may not know about that they may have to resolve.

Also, as @Greenreader9 has mentioned before in a previous topic you have made, please do not swear / use inappropriate language on the InfinityFree forum!

Future Topics and Posts will be flagged and potentially removed if they contain inappropriate language. We understand your anger, but I suggest you take your anger out on the companies you have mentioned in this Topic, not on the InfinityFree forum. We have no control over these companies, so there is no reason to be angry towards us and InfinityFree (and InfinityFree forum).

You can use VPN as a temporary workaround.

I have never used Fortigate products myself, but some people who do are quite happy with how they work.

Basically, they make datacenter/ISP grade firewall devices. They can do anything from basic site-to-site VPN connectivity to very fine-grained deep packet inspection to stop malware and prevent data leaks.

Whatever your troubles are, Fortigate is not to blame. They just make the devices. It’s up to their customers to configure the devices in the way they want. Which can range from “block everything except for a small number of sites” to “virtually meaningless”.

I’m not a Canadian so I’ve never dealt with Cira.

But I find it very hard to believe that they would roll out such strict firewall rules to all their customers. This level of restriction is more commonly seen in highly controlled networks of companies or schools.

Where are you even having these issues from? From your home network? Then maybe check the portal of your ISP, or maybe your router settings, and see if there is some kind of security filter active there.

Are you having this issue from your school/university computers? Then it’s probably the IT department of the educational institution that setup these firewall rules. And then your beef is with them, not their ISP or their hardware supplier.
