Its been 3 hours but nothing is happening, I have clicked the “Setup CNAME Record” before I left, but its still in that state until now.
Its been showing this
for the past 3 hours but nothing is still happening, should I wait for a day or two? Thank you in advance for those who could help.
It might be a temporary bug in the client area.
In the meanwhile, try setting it up manually:
I see, ill try that
Maybe I will wait for a day for now, if nothing happens I will try manually, Is there a tutorial on how to? sorry I am new on this type of stuff. Thank you
This is what is showing now, BUT whenever I try clicking “Request Certificate” it shows:
“The domain name needs to be validated first” and im back to square one its showing " Please set up the following CNAME record on your domain name.", am I doing something wrong?
Hi there - I have exactly the same problem as described above.
- Ask for a new SSL
- Click on setup CNAME record
- When the message CNAME record is set up correctly appears, click on Request Certificate
- and I would get, “The domain name needs to be validated first”, and it would want me to set up the CNAME record again.
Please help!
There are some ongoing issues with the SSL certificates tool where it has quite some trouble detecting the CNAME record correctly. You may need to wait for 24 hours for the CNAME record to fully settle.
There is not much I can do to help with this right now, other than ask you to be patient and please try again later.
I woke up this morning and its fine now, The SSL is installed and all, but when I visit the website on my mobile it still shows the danger connection, but when I use incognito mode, its not showing that dangerous connection. I need help please, Thank you in advance
Have you cleared your browser cache?
yes
Hello,
I got exactly the same problem.
I’ll be patient, as i understand it should be OK after 24H
(that means it should be OK today the 16th april, at 20h40 UTC…)
Thanks for your return, if something has to be done on user’s side.
Did you make sure that you used HTTPS before opening the site? Because InfinityFree always reminds users in the SSL Request/Installation page to Force the use of HTTPS when entering the site.
In my case, I just use a script to always force redirect my page to HTTPS to avoid that prompt that says dangerous site (due to HTTP).
