I have lost access to my Google email (), which was used to register my hosting account. I have tried recovering it through Google, but I am locked out due to too many failed attempts.
I need help recovering access to my InfinityFree account so I can manage my site. I can verify ownership by uploading a file or any method you suggest.
Please assist me in resetting or transferring account access to a new email.
You’ll need to recover your Gmail account. Uploading files only verifies you have access to the hosting account, its does not guarantee or verify that you own that account, or the client area account
Does that mean you have your hosting account credentials? Do you upload the files over FTP or another method?
If you have your account username and password, you can simply login to the control panel directly at https://cpanel.infinityfree.com. You can then also backup your files and databases, and remove the domain name from the account. You can then sign up again, create a new account, and restore the website on that account.
The thing is if Admin tells you to do so you can do so… You are not using the old accounts after all, the act is to restore access rather than circumventing the limits.
Signing up for another client area profile is allowed. But you’re not allowed to have more than three free hosting accounts, and signing up multiple times for the purpose of circumventing that limit is not allowed.
In this case, you could argue that @Universitysystem doesn’t actually “have” the account anymore since they lost access. So then signing up again is fine.
