I lost access to the old Gmail account associated with my previous hosting account. I am trying to add my custom domain to a new account, but it says it’s already in use. I still control the domain via Cloudflare and can provide any verification needed to prove ownership so it can be removed from the old account.
I had a look at the current account, and one thing struck me as surprising. The account was created only yesterday, and there was a successful login less than 24 hours ago. So there isn’t really an “old” Gmail account here, it was in active only yesterday.
Could you please try first to regain access to your Google account? Google has quite a good account recovery process, and using that should give you a good chance of getting your hosting account back.

The Hacker changed the number associated with the account, so I can’t get access anymore.
I would still try to regain access to your Gmail account. Google has various other recovery options, like using already logged in devices, recovery emails and others. So just the phone number being changed doesn’t mean that all hope is lost.
Remember that even with the domain released, your account data linked to this Google account, as well as any data at any other place where you have used this email address, is still at risk of being taken over.
To remove the domain name, please configure the following DNS record at Cloudflare:
Once you have added the record, please come back here so I can check it and (assuming that everything looks good) remove the domain from the current account.
Done please release it now (to be clear this account will remain active right)
Thank you for setting up the DNS record. I checked it and was setup correctly, so I have just removed the domain from the old account. You can now add it to a new account.
