I connected my custom domain but gives 404 error

I connected my domain with adding cname record on cloudflare. But when i go to the my site , says 404 error.

I see a “this site can’t be reached” error instead.

Your domain has been added to an InfinityFree account, but I’m not seeing any A records when I do a DNS lookup on it. Did you remember to do this?

Remember when you make any DNS changes to a domain, it can take up to 72 hours for it to propagate through all the DNS providers. So you might just needd to wait

Thank you so much. I thought this would be automatic since I’d already registered with NS. My problem is solved. By the way, if you don’t mind, where did you get the screenshot you posted? The error page looks pretty good. Is this a browser or something else?

I noticed. It popped up litterally 2 seconds after I hit reply lol

The error screen Edward is seeing I think is created by Opera GX. I get the same one sometimes

Ah, when your domain is using nameservers that aren’t InfinityFree’s you must point it to your account using an A record after you add it to your account in order for your site to work. The only reason you wouldn’t have to is if you’d kept using InfinityFree’s nameservers, but then you wouldn’t be able to use Cloudflare. It’s working now though, and the way you have it set up now is correct.

It’s indeed from my browser, and Dan is correct in that I’m using Opera GX. And I agree, it does look pretty sleek.
