I cannot add files and access FTP in my account

I got this error in the account overview:
Unable to determine directory status
An error occurred while trying to check the directory of your website.

And this in the filemanager:
Failed to create file: FTP login failed

I read some forum posts and I think that it may be caused of hosting account pass changed, I think that’s why. I need some help with this so I hope you guys can help me :]

Also, don’t mind my bad English, I am now kind of stressed and depressed because over 3k users uses my bot on a platform called Talkomatic I’m trying to try fix it ASAP, so I am stressed and I somehow don’t put effort into this even tho I wanted to.

It looks like you may have accidentally deleted the conference of your htdocs folder based on the error.

If you’ve got your own backup (which you absolutely must backup any important files four your website)

For the FTP issue, you can change the ftp password in your client area. Sometimes that’s the easiest way to get things moving

I didn’t delete the htdocs folder, I opened the Cpanel first which I always do (I didn’t click anything) then filemanager.ai and it says that FTP error, then I read some forum posts which say go to client area and change the pass or smth like that, but I can’t find and have no idea where it is.

Both the file manager and the client area can check if FTP works, but cannot effectively see why.

A desktop FTP client like FileZilla is better in that regard. I tried it for your account, and saw the following error:

Response:	421 Home directory not available - aborting

This error can mean two things:

  • There is something wrong with the server your account is on, which is not able to access your account’s storage.
  • There is something wrong with your account, which usually means that your the folder containing your account’s data is missing.

Given that there are no other reports about similar issues right now, I’m guessing it’s the second one.

And given that your account is brand new, my recommendation is to remove your domain from the account, deactivate and (optionally) delete this account, and create a new one.
