Https version doesn't autoplay video

Hi

I uploaded a virtual tour with a video to autoplay.

In the http version http://apt-vt-sample-by-kia-faraji.epizy.com/sample5
video does autoplay and in the https version
https://apt-vt-sample-by-kia-faraji.epizy.com/sample5
it doesn’t!
The tour is not complete, when it’s loaded just tap/click the arrow on the right and then look at the TV.

This issue is for when I’m using Safari on iOS 14.1
Using Microsoft Edge on windows 10 was ok.
The reason I think problem is due to the ssl is that I have the same tour in https on a different host which I provide the link in the next post.

it works well for me too

I think you probably cached that video in Edge so it opens quickly

while on iOS it is not in the cache with the https version
and I think you don’t wait long enough for it to start work (load it)
also definitely try to wipe the cache.

The server uses bandwidth throttling to actively limit download rates on extensions such as video (streaming) and other file sharing stuff

I would recommend you to upload your video to gdrive, youtube or vimeo
( if you do not infringe any copyrights ) and then use the appropriate code…

Or shrink the video file as much as you can (as long as the quality is not so impaired )
so when it is smaller in size it will load faster.

You are a new user and the forum is cautious, so you have a limited number of times you can put the same link…
I corrected it - but please try to mention your website URL a little less for the first few days

But in iOS I wiped the entire history before checking the http version, then closed the tab, cleared the history again and went to https, it had the problem!

And using gdrive would be a good idea, I’ll try it out tomorrow, thanks.

Did you actually clear the cache though? You have to do into settings and clear the data to do it the correct way.

Of course I did it correctly:

And I’ll recheck in a few hours and comeback with the results.

No, that’s your history not your cache, your cache is in settings under safari called “clear data”. Note that it will also delete all your safari tabs as well, so copy them into a different browser first.
