I was surprised to find that the entire htdocs folder for my website was deleted without any prior notice or explanation.
I kindly request clarification on the reason behind this deletion. I have been following the service rules and have not uploaded any prohibited or malicious content.
Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could attempt to recover the deleted files, as they contain important data.
Please also take the necessary steps to ensure that this issue does not happen again in the future, especially if there was no clear reason for the deletion.
Unfortunately, this forum is not what you would think support is. Only @Admin has access to everything in InfinityFree AFAIK, so you would have to wait for him to respond. Also, it’s automated
Backups are not made on free hosting. If you have premium hosting please contact iFastNet instead
Not every automated secuirity system is perfect. Making a good filter is hard, and i dont think there’s money for human filtering.
Your account is probably hacked, because we never delete anything in your account like that. We might suspend accounts but then it won’t happen immediately.
Take this as a lesson to always make backups, and don’t randomly shares your login details with someone else.
What others have said is correct. Entire folder are never deleted on purpose by the system (Account suspension is what happens instead), so missing files is either a corruption, hack, or you did it yourself type thing.
Free hosting does not take automated backups (it’s free after all), those are your responsibility. Hopefully you can take this as a lesson to always have a backup of your important files, preferably more then one backup in more then one location.
