If your site uses a www. subdomain, we recommend switching to the non-www version to ensure your visitors stay protected with HTTPS.

How do I do that? I have 2 A records-1 with “www” and another without it. Do I have to delete my domain and re-add it without a “www” A record so that I can have https support? Will requests with the “www” subdomain auto redirect to the url without it?
I have updated the htaccess record and cleared my browser cache but still cannot get a secure connection. Is there an additional step I need to do in my domain settings?
I misread your post initially, you have a custom domain so you can use www. if you want as you manage SSL for your domain
The SSL certificate installed on your domain is not correct, request a certificate in the client area from LetsEncrypt or GoogleTrust and install that one instead.
I have created a new SSL request for Google Trust but am getting a “no CNAME found” error and am unable to submit a request. However, in my DNS records, I see that the exact CNAME it is trying to find does in fact exist.
Did you get this announcement regarding the changes for SSL for free subdomains?
If so, please note that those only apply to free subdomains. If you have a custom domain name, nothing changes: you can request your SSL certificates as usual, and both the www and non-www version of your website will be protected.
But that also means that your domain will not have SSL by default on our hosting, and you’ll still need to request a certificate.
