Hello,
I just observed that automated back up of my site using a back up plugin is not working…
Seems cron jobs are disabled on the server?
I need automated back up of my site and automated malware scan…how do i go about it?
Kindly help me out…

As of today, the 9th August 2023, the Cron Jobs feature is disabled.
In collaboration with iFastNet, we have determined that a large number of cron jobs were running a very frequently on invalid URLs, or sites that were not actively being used. This resulted in a lot of server power being spent on cron jobs that didn’t work, or were running on sites that were not actively being used. This had gotten so bad that some cron jobs dramatically overloaded some servers causing performance degradation …
This is the preferred way
Good website administration requires making backups of your account regularly and storing them somewhere safe yourself. You also need to download backups in order to migrate website to other hosting accounts.
InfinityFree does not create or store any backups of free hosting accounts. It’s your responsibility to regularly create backups, and to store them somewhere safely.

We do not recommend automatic backup plugins, because they tend to generate high CPU and IO usage, which can cause websites to hit the limits of free hosting accounts and trigger suspension.
And no, we do not have cron job functionality.
