How to merge .com and .ct.ws together

thefealessfloydshow.com

How do I deactivate my domain thefearlessfloydshow.ct.ws so people can not access this site any longer? I used this site to build the new website. Now I have my custom domain name installed on my account, and it is active. I can see my new website, and no longer need people to have access to the old website.

Currently, on my account, I have thefearlessfloydshow.com and also the website I created thefearlessfloydshow..ct.ws

I have had issues with the migration, and I have been using way too much cpu time. I need to get this done and not bog down the cpu processor. Any suggestions would be wonderful. I just want to be mindful of my actions and not have my account deactivated. Once I can finish editing my pages, I will be good. I will not be using so much of the cpu storage.

Thank you

There is no need to keep this opened. I figured it out. It was in the dashboard of WordPress that I needed to point the first website I created to the website with the custom domain name. This can be closed.

Thank you for the answer. This was not my problem. My problem was that the visitor could get into 2 sites. I figured out how to fix it. It was in WordPress. I had to go to the admin dashboard and redirect the website .ct.ws to. com and it corrected my issue. Now, if anyone goes to the old link, it will automatically direct them to .com.

Thank you for your help this topic can be closed.

Please disregard I answered the wrong post. I am so sorry.

If the new domain is working correctly you can just delete the old domain from the domain section in the client area. Note that it will become available for another user to use.

I may not have explained this correctly. I have one account. It has the domain name thefearlessfloydshoi.ct.ws. I then added a subdomain so I could use my custom domain name. That is in the same folder, but it is thefearlessfloydshow.com. I may have gone about this wrong. The website was hosted on Network Solutions, and we had issues with them. I found your hosting service that offered WordPress and Elementor and decided to build a new website here using WordPress. I only had the custom domain name moved to here. The person who was helping me move the site made a mess. Files were deleted, backups were not done correctly and now I am cleaning up the mess. The only major problem I am having right now is to monitor my CPU time while IO am editing the website papges. I used too muh cpu time doing this and ran into a problem. Now I monitor my cpu time and try to spread my edits out over several days.

If you’re running Elementor, that is probably why. It’s a very heavy plugin that free hosting is not designed to run.

As for the domain, I’m still not quite sure where your confusion lies. If you no longer need a domain connected to your account, you can remove it from the client area. This does not delete any files or databases from your account.

Yes, I now see that Elementor does cause issues. Now that I understand this, I can monitor it myself and stop editing when I reach 50 percent.

My domain is not an issue at all. I just left my original domain connected to my account for a bit. I needed to make sure the subdomain that has my custom domain address was working without issues. It seemsthe 2 were innerconnected and what I did to one was affecting the other. I have this fixed now. That was another reason I was using way too much CPU time was fixing this issue. Thank you for your help.
