How to host a custom subdomain?

Hi,
I’m not really a tech savvy so sorry if this may be seem like an obvious answer…
I have a custom domain, hosted in Wix - ex. “my-site.com”
Under this main site, I have opened a subdomain to host my courses - ex. “courses.my-site.com” for which I have it on wordpress with a LearnDash plugin.

Can I host the custom subdomain, without hosting the main domain? (using CNAME or an A list?)

In order to host any domains with us, you will need to set its nameservers to ours. Unfortunately, I don’t believe Wix has this functionality. If you don’t use Wix, you can transfer your domain to someone like NameCheap and use it here.
