But like @Meishin said: if you’re going to write your website from scratch, I strongly recommend to build the website on your own computer and upload/publish the code from there. Proper code editing tools provide a vastly better experience than using the web based file manager.
And one very important benefit that you should not ignore: developing the website on your own computer means that you have a copy of your code available at all times. Which is critical in case you’re unable to access the hosting account with us for any reason.
