Error Message

(my website thelawscape.in is repeatedly getting suspended due to CPU limits every time I attempt to migrate to paid hosting or download my files. I have already paid for Hostinger Premium and need to migrate urgently.

The problem: Every migration attempt — whether through Hostinger’s automated tool, UpdraftPlus plugin, or File Manager download — triggers a CPU suspension and fails midway. The site has approximately 22,000 files.

What I need: Please either temporarily lift the CPU limit for 2 hours so migration can complete, or provide a server-side backup of my files and database that I can download and upload to Hostinger directly.

I am permanently leaving InfinityFree as I have already purchased paid hosting. This is my last request before I move on. Please assist.

Domain: thelawscape.in

  1. Backup plugins don’t work well here. You need to backup manually.
  2. Limits are never increased upon request.

Since you’ve purchased from Hostinger, you should ask them to come up a better way to migrate, not ask us to cater to their needs.

Like @Meishin, we do not recommend the use of backup plugins. They are quite stressful on the server and are probably contributing to reaching the CPU limits.

I’m not sure what Hostinger’s automated tool does, but I can tell you that our recommended way to backup your website is to download everything using a desktop FTP client like FileZilla. The file manager may work for small websites but will break if you try to download a large folder.

But none of those options are available while your account is suspended. You’ll have to wait for it to be reactivated to be able to do anything.

Had you chosen to upgrade to iFastNet instead of Hostinger, then iFastNet would have been able to migrate your website from the suspended account, since they have internal access. Other hosting providers do not have that feature.

And no, paying money to a completely unaffiliated company does not entitle you to anything extra from us. Our free service is the same for everyone, with the same limits and the same rules.

One thing you could try though: since your website is already down anyway, you could just go ahead and update your domain’s DNS to point to Hostinger. Doing so will cut off traffic to your free hosting account, which should also avoid any further CPU usage and resulting suspensions.

It won’t make your website work right now and it won’t give you access to your data any sooner, but it will help ensure that you’ll be able to migrate your website when the account is reactivated.
