hello , i bought a domain name and business email , and the domain is linked to infinityfree name servers and I added the mx and spf to infinity free DNS but the email doesn’t send or receive messages
due to dns propagation you will have to wait for couple of hours.
can you check if I did everything right? what data you need to check
There is nothing to check, you will have to wait for couple of hours.
just make sure your domain has correct records.
ok thank you
We can check if the DNS records are setup correctly.
To do that, can you please tell us your domain name, and share the DNS records that your email provider tells you to setup? We can then check if those records are actually configured and published.
Side note: you don’t strictly need any DNS records to send email, it’s recommended but not needed. You could try to setup a testing address at https://www.mail-tester.com/ and try sending a message there. Even without DNS records, the email should arrive there. If it doesn’t, that could indicate an issue at your email provider.
You didn’t tell use who your Email Provider is, but many providers use CNAME records to control authentication, so you might need to bring those over.
The Admin had a good suggestion to use an email testing tool, but I think you need to use a different tool to make sure it can receive emails. This one will test to make sure your can receive email on your business name: //email/testTo:
It will let you know if your business email address is configured to receive email.
