Google Domains with Infinity Free Hosting

Hello all,

I am using google domains and have been using google workspace for my emails. However when I go to custom name servers on GDomains, it turns off my workspace. In turn I can not send or receive emails, has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it?

My website comes up just fine when I enter the name servers for infinity free, in return it breaks my google workspace email. When I restore the name servers on GDomain side, my email works again, but it takes the site down.

Hope this is clear, and thanks in advanced for any advice!

Welcome!

What you can do is create A records with Google Domains to serve your webstie.

  1. Set your nameservers to Google Domains
    2 Create 2 A record with Google Domains as follows:
RECORD #1
TYPE: “A”
CONTENT: “@”
NAME: IP address from app.infinityfree.net

RECORD #2
TYPE: “A”
CONTENT: “www”
NAME: IP address from app.infinityfree.net

In GDomains custom records it asks for
Host name
Type
TTL
Data

I am a bit unclear on how I would add the records you listed above.

For the first A record, you can type you hostname out, or just type @. For the second A record, just type www.
