I mistakenly set up my NPM account on email set to this domain. The only way to get access to this npm account is to get a code from an email from this domain. Most email sites don’t accept subdomains. I finally found that iCloud custom domain email does, but it wants me to set a subdomain cname record
Hi and welcome to the forum! You can set CNAME records under the “CNAME Records” section of the Control Panel. As record name put the host, then put your domain in the dropdown, and then as destination put the value iCloud asks you to put.
Unfortunately, you can only set CNAME for domain/subdomain.
OP needs to set it for apple domain, which is not possible.
Looks more like a DKIM record to me
DKIM records can also be CNAME records, not just TXT records. So he can configure that record as well on his subdomain.
Also:
He’s setting iCloud’s custom email domain up for his subdomain. Read carefully what the OP posted beforehand, and don’t consider the broken link on the Host value; only consider the record name which is what is in the square brackets.
