I can log into the FTP server via a script, but the commands such as RENAMEFILE and DELETEFILE don’t work.
Can you please advise a solution.
I suspect the reason the commands don’t work is because they are not part of the official FTP specification. They are not listed in the FTP commands list on Wikipedia, at leasts:
Looking at the list of commands, it looks like renaming files is done using the RNFR and RNTO commands, and deleting files is done with the DELE command. Although, to be honest, I’ve never typed FTP commands by hand.
