Hi there. that’s my url.
But i can’t add anything with out ftp support.
I can’t get access to fto.
Here’s the info i’ve got.
These are filezilla’s logs.
And i’ve copied and pasted the user name and password from my control panel and put the port as 21.
I’m using a VPN.
Status: Connecting to 185.27.134.11:21…
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message…
Status: Plain FTP is insecure. Please switch to FTP over TLS.
Command: USER if0_37103318
Response: 331 User if0_37103318 OK. Password required
Command: PASS *********************
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server
So i’m confused as to why this is happening.
Plus my ssl certificate isn’t working righ either and I’m unable to fix it because I’ve tried to install a free one and went through your wizard on control panel but to no avail.
Thanks for the help
When i go to the control panel under ftp details it says ftp password but then doesn’t give the password to me, if I hit Show/Hide it only shows me the control panel password not the ftp one.
How can I see the ftp password. I’m also using a screen reader, however it shouldn’t efect the way text is displayed and read unless it’s within a grafic.
Yes, I am. I have done it now for four times.
I am seeing the same password as the control panel. Is there any way you can email me at [email protected] and give me this password if you have it?
Or can anyone that can gane access do this?
I’m just not finding it, and i’m trying to hit the show/Hide and it’s giving me my control panel password when I know that something isn’t right here. Something I’m doing is wrong or maybe the site control panel is having issues.
But anyway yeah, I’m definiely copying and pasting what’s shown there.
And I’m seriously having issues even though I reset the thing five times, I still don’t see my ftp password.
And also my VPN blocks port 21, is there a port I can use or is 22 ok to use with FTP?
I use private VPN by the way. thanks
SFTP uses port 22, and free hosting does not support that. You have to use port 21.
If you are only doing a few minor things, try using the inline file manager instead. Just make sure to always have a local backup in case something goes wrong.
OK I will try it with my VPN turned off and see if that works but I don’t think it will because it’s not you said the password is different from the control panel password so I don’t know how else to get that password, but yes, I might try the file editor that you mentioned under the control panel there the file manager, although I’d rather use FTP
The Account Password is the password used for the control panel, FTP and MySQL. The password you see listed as the FTP password is really the password to use for FTP.
The file manager seems to be working for your account, which means FTP is active and your password is in sync.
