I copied the user name and password from the system directly.

reset the account password then try it again
Remember that the password you use to login to the dashboard and your account password are two different things.

I have tried resetting passwords many times, it does not fix the issue.
Even the system could not deremine the status of the FTP directories, as shown below:

Did you try to log in to the Control Panel at least once? That’s also the first step in the guide Admin linked to you.

Did you also login to the control panel afterward to enable FTP access? Because I just did, and now it works.
That makes sense, because the client area obtains that information over FTP. If FTP is not working for your account, then that check also doesn’t work.
