Thank you, but I don’t understand: there are only 15 jpg files (7 MB in total). Now I just want to upload my index.html + styles.css. Nothing fancy at all. Surely this cannot be the limit of my account?

No, you have way more space then that of ~17 files.

Are there other domains on that same account?

If you open the control panel, what is the inode count (Right sidebar)?
