how to install flarum extension. pls guide step by step
Flarum’s own documentation about extensions can help:
If you’re going the command prompt way, though, you’ll have to make sure you have Composer installed on your computer, download your website through an FTP client, install the requirement you need and then upload everything again with an FTP client.
Also, please post in the right category next time.
That’s correct, we have disabled that function.
If simply knowing that doesn’t solve your problem, please describe the actual issue you’re having.
i cant install any extension of flarum it always gets error…
and now if login as admin the homepage shows blank…
pls tell me how to fix this… heres the debug report of extension- i cant install extension using extension manager.. - Flarum Community
and heres the new problem
If you can’t install the extension you want using the command line, you can install them by using Composer on your own PC and uploading the resulting files. @JxstErg1 explained this earlier.
Flarum’s official forum has a thread on the matter too.
i want to install it using extension manager given in flarum… i dont want to install any software on my pc cz most of the time i use mobile… I dont use PC much
I understand, but that’s unlikely. If you take a look at the GitHub repository for the extension manager, it will tell you it just “runs composer (sic) under the hood”, and unfortunately InfinityFree doesn’t run Composer server side. This has come up before.
Now weirdly enough I have used the extension manager here successfully in the past, but only for some extensions. I can’t explain it, and it hasn’t worked since. If it’s really a necessity, you may need to upgrade to premium, or rent a VPS so you have complete control over what runs. Flarum is intended to run on a service that has SSH access after all.
