This probably means you’ve exceeded the inode limit. You can only have up to 30,000 files and directories on a single account. If you hit that limit, you cannot create any more.

• how many inodes you’ve used (in vPanel, side panel labeled “Inodes used”)
• the disk space you’ve used (also can be found in vPanel, “account statistics” at the bottom)
