FTPS is not supported, but FTP over TLS is.

EDIT: I mixed up the terminology here, see Admins post below. They have got to stop naming these things so similarly.

FTPS is FTP over TLS. It’s SFTP that’s not supported, because it’s a completely different protocol.

Do note that with FTP, you can either use Implicit TLS or Explicit TLS. Explicit TLS is pretty much the default everywhere, and the only encryption scheme that our FTP server supports.

This suggests that there may be a firewall on your end that’s interfering with FTP connections. I don’t recognize that error as being sent by our server, and it would explain why it tells you to contact your network administrator instead of the hosting provider.
