Error in infinityfree

When uploading a file from the file manager I get an error. “Your FTP account’s quota has been exceeded or the file upload has been blocked by security” I have enough quota. What is the solution?

Hi and welcome to the forum! Can you try using an FTP client, like FileZilla, instead?

have you opened the control panel at least once? that activates ftp on your account.

And are you using your FTP password for it? because your FTP password is different from your account password. You can find it in your client area

That’s an error that’s quite commonly seen, but it’s still not fully clear why. It’s generally not caused by your account having reached the limits. As for what is causing it and how to fix it, we’re not quite sure.

This suggests that your FTP client is trying to setup a secure connection, but this fails. This is usually the result of a firewall of some kind messing with the connection and breaking it. Something this can be fixed by adjusting settings in your virus scanner or router. But you can also try to bypass it with a VPN.
