Error during FTP upload, permission denied at: "htdocs/index2.html"

Hello, I tried to update header in index2.html. But I see this, how to solve it please?
Thank you

index2.html is protected from editing, so please stop attempting to edit that. You simply cannot do it. Instead, upload or create your own index.html and put your webpage in it.

Ok, but I need just add something to header, when I create plain my index.html with my new code part, will it also be reflected in index2 ?

I don´t want to create new site, I just need to add script to header of current page.

Of course no, if you created an index.html, then index2.html will not be loaded at all.

Please do not attempt to reuse that index2.html. As it said at the top of the document, it is COPYRIGHT PROTECTED. Negligence of others’ copyright should not be legit.

Ok, so how is possible to add script to current page (not new), it is Google Analytics script.

For understand, I don´t want to modify Infinityfree page. I have wordpress now as a defaut page. So I just need to add script to this WP page.

Write your own page then, or use a CMS + a plugin to utilize Google Analytics, like WordPress + Site Kit.

Just add it to the child theme?

The index2.html page is just there to act as a placeholder while you haven’t uploaded your own website yet. It’s recommended to delete the page after it has been set up, but there is no harm in keeping it.

The file itself cannot be edited and there is no need to edit it. After all, a page that’s inaccessible or never used doesn’t need to be updated for any reason.

If you have a WordPress site and you want to have Google Analytics, you should just add Google Analytics to your WordPress site. There is no need to go through all the files in your account and edit every single one of them.
