Error after updating plugins

I would guess that the plugin update was interrupted (probably by some sort of code execution limit), and left the plugin in a half upgraded state.

The best way to fix this is to continue the plugin installation by hand. To do so, you can download a fresh copy of the plugin from the official source, extract it, and upload it to your website, overwriting any files which are currently there. After that, you may still need to finish the upgrade from the WordPress admin area. But since you did most of the heavy lifting yourself already, that should be quite straight forward.
