Please make sure that the DNS settings in Cloudflare are correct. We were forced to rotate a few website IP addresses last weekend. We’ve updated our own nameservers, including the main domains, but we can’t update third party nameserver, including Cloudflare.
To find out the new IP address to use, you can use this article:
https://infinityfree.net/support/find-your-ip/
But you may also want to switch to using CNAME record instead of IP address to prevent this from happening again.
thank you very much admin
How many times InfinityFree change IP address? If I’m using CNAME records instead, is it support the subdomains I added thru the cPanel?
Not frequently. I don’t have any solid figures on this, but I don’t think there are more than a few IP changes on the entire platform in a year. So some people are probably using manually configured IP addresses for a long time without any problems.
That said, IP changes to happen. So if you want to be sure, use CNAME records.
By using a CNAME record, you simply replace all the A records pointing to the IP address of your website with CNAME records pointing to your main domain. Under the hood, Cloudflare will frequently check the current IP of your main domain and use that to send the requests to. Using CNAME records instead of A records doesn’t affect any website at all, as long as the DNS settings are kept up to date.
So, if I’m using CNAMES for my subdomains, did I still use this mess like mysubdomainhere.qbxhwyca.epizy.com
or use only qbxhwyca.epizy.com
?
You need to use the main domain of your account for all domains and subdomains assigned to your account. This includes addon domains, parked domains and subdomains of your own domains.
