Account ID: if0_37541636
Domain: gikal.org
Server IP: 185.27.134.98 (vol16_1)
My site has been returning ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT for several days. I have verified the following:
DNS is fully propagated globally (confirmed via dnschecker.org)
Nameservers on Namecheap are correctly set to ns1/ns2.infinityfree.com
Account status is Active
Files are uploaded in htdocs (index.php exists)
Resource usage is well within limits
No deactivation history
Direct IP access (http://185.27.134.98) also times out
The server itself appears to not be responding. Please advise.
Yes the IP is probably down but Iâm still telling you that the servers donât accept pings or visiting the IP directly, so please just wait patiently for Admin and stop sending all those âproofsâ that arenât actually proofsâŚ
If ICMP is blocked, then a standard nmap should show that something other than 20/21/990 or whatever port you may use for FTP protocolâŚwould you like to see that and prove that the IP is down?
The condescension to someone for whom you dont not know is highly disrespectful so if you would like to leave a comment that says âwe are working on it; please be patient as we work to resolve the issueâ is all that needs to be said versus trying to talk to someone like a subordinate who you dont know their skillset.
As meishin said, we are not staff. This is a community support forum. And bombarding us with âProofâ, and commenting on every thread you can see is equally rude, unhelpful and unproffesional.
You cannot ping (or directly) access the IP address of your site, in fact the way its set up, you cannot interact with your site in any way other than a browser.
As for the FTP IP Address, this is completely separate from your sites IP and isnât currently having any problems. so pinging that IP wouldnât make any difference.
This issue appears to be related to a large wave of connection timeout errors reported by many people. I just created an official topic with more information about the issue where I will be posting further updates.
If you want to know more, letâs centralize the discussion here.
