I am pretty desperate. I had an email account with my .rf.gd earlier and setup my google account with it as recovery email. Now i need to recover my google account and notice that the email features are no longer present and you are soposed to setup custom mx. I have now tried this but with no luck, as the c panel claims I have no domains in my account and so doesn’t let me set any records for my domain, even though it is on my account when i look in my panel and responding completely normal. Any way to get only short access to that email adress? I only need it for that one email.
First thing to check, are you certain you don’t have a second account where you’re domains are? If not, its possible that the domains have been deleted due to inactivity (you should have recived emails if this is the case)
However, its important to note that unless you’re account is quite old (and it was the origional domain on the account) MX records are not supported on free hosting
Can I ask what your actual domain is? Admin may be able to help more when he’s next on, but will need the domain to check whats going on with it
Full DNS control is one of those features that cannot be enabled on free subdomains even when migrated to premium due to how the migration on these domains happen.
Basically they just make the free hosting system respond a premium IP instead of moving the domain entirely.
I was refering not to making custom mx records but to receiving mails. The upgrade page sais that on the smallest plan i have one hosted domain and one hosted email.
I checked gamiaplanet.rf.gd and the reason why you don’t have these options anymore is very simple: it’s a brand new domain on a brand new account.
I also cannot find any records to show that the domain has been on another account before. So either you never hosted it with us, or the corresponding data has already been erased from our systems.
If you had the domain in the past, then you may have been able to setup MX records on it. But you lost that ability permanently when the account was deleted. It’s not possible to setup custom MX records on any new free subdomains, and it’s technically not possible to make exceptions.
You’ll absolutely have email on the Starter plan… on the primary domain name of your premium hosting account, which is NOT your rf.gd subdomain.
The account was, in fact, long deleted. At the time where i had it it was called epiz_22+something. Rf.gd as far as i know is only beeing used by infinityfree, at least i have not seen it on similar hosts.
Do i maybe have a chance if i contact ifastnet about this issue? It only became an issue now, before i had google authenticator. This is why i didn’t even remember that this could become a problem, as i setup the account in 2018 and never needed the recover email.
Mail is longer gone on free hosting, years ago, unfortunately, and there doesn’t exist a way to setup email on free hosting let alone recover anything.
