I don’t know why my website got suspended. I spent 3 hours watching tutorials, barely got my homepage to look how I wanted it to look (colors, font, etc) then BAM! website gets suspended for 24 hours… What’s the deal with this? Who has the power to fix this or was this some ploy to get my IP information…

You probably hit CPU limits. If you use Wordpress with some heavy plugins such as Elementor that’d have caused it. (Elementor is really heavy and thus not reccomended) We can’t shorten/remove your suspension
I followed a tutorial which mentioned Elementor being demanding and they suggested Kadence, which I used. Anyway, how are we supposed to know when we’re nearing this arbitrary “CPU limit”? Such a bad look when you send the website to someone and it says “DOMAIN SUSPENDED”. Plus, a 24 hour suspension is excessive. I don’t see why anyone would come back if there’s no transparency.
There is a graph in the control panel and client area (if the account is active) that shows your CPU usage. Basically any limit that can trigger an account suspension and can be graphed is both shown in the account statistics, and we have article for each one of the describing what they mean.
So I’m not sure where you got this “no transparency” idea from. We’re not hiding anything regarding the limits.
Three hours of experience using the Infinityfree website. Forgive me for not seeing and monitoring this obviously important CPU usage meter that could lead to a 24 hour suspension. Waste of time.
Every hosting has many limits and most of them you’ll never run into. Doing a deep dive into every single one before you start would actually be a waste of time, so I don’t fault you for not looking into the CPU limit until it became a problem.
But I do want to push back on the “no transparency” and the “this service is a waste of time” framing. The limits aren’t hidden, they are right there in the account statistics and documentation. Not looking into them until you run into limits is perfectly fine and what many people do. There is a reason we link to the KB article about the applicable limit if your account is suspended: we assume that you’re not familiar with it.
Hitting the daily limit triggers a 24 hour suspension. It’s harsh, but we have to have policies on server resources to provide a good service to as many people as possible while still being able to provide it for free. No such suspension process exists on premium hosting precisely because you don’t have to deal with the constraints of free hosting there.
