Domain not verifying via cname

Website URL

techsupportstories.rf.gd

Error Message

Your domain is not yet pointing to our nameservers ns1.infinityfree.com and ns2.infinityfree.com. Please change your nameservers at your domain name provider and wait a few hours for the changes to take effect

Other Information

I bought a domain name from Cloudflare yesterday, and I am trying to verify via cname since cloudflare doesnt let me change the nameservers. It could just be a matter of having to wait, but I want to make sure I did it correctly. In cloudflare under name, I set it to that long string of numbers and letters ending in the url I am trying to verify, which is techsupportstories.com. Under target I set it to ns1.byet.org.

Google dig shows no records for the cname, so I am just making sure I did it correctly. Thanks

Welcome back to the forum! Make sure the orange cloud for the record used for verification is turned to grey, then wait some time for the change to propagate before adding your domain in.

the current cname target box is orange, shows invalid. How do I change that?

Edit the verification record, then toggle the orange switch to disable the proxy for that record and save.

Google dig returns a cname result now. When i visit the site it shows site cant be reached. Am I waiting for dns to populate now? Or is there another setting im missing?

The CNAME only works for verification, not for actually viewing your website.

You need to create two A records ā€œwwwā€ and ā€œ@ā€œ, pointing to the IP of the account shown in the client area.

And I make them on cloudflare end, correct?

Got it all setup thanks again!
