My email records keep breaking when I use infinityfree Nameservers. I’m currently using Google’s domain name servers and I’m using Proton to host my email. I want to use the hosting without breaking my MX records.
Without more information, nobody here can help you.
Free hosting nameservers support MX records just as any other DNS provider does, if it is not working, the MX is either configured incorrectly, or it is not the problem.
If you want to use another service’s nameservers, that is fine as well, just set an A record at @ and www pointing to your account IP address

True to that I added a couple A records under the DNS tab hoping it will work
If you want to use our nameservers, you can do that too. All you need to do then is to add the MX records from your email provider to our nameservers. If you do this before switching over the nameservers, then there will not be any interruption to your email.
