Title: Free subdomain returns NXDOMAIN on multiple phones

Hello,

My InfinityFree subdomain is lumincobyajexport.infy.click, created on 12 October 2026.

My Laravel website loads on my computer when using Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1), which resolves the domain to 185.27.134.141. However, my phone and my sister’s phone both show DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN, including when using mobile data.

The InfinityFree dashboard shows “Website IP: unknown.”

Could you please check whether my free subdomain is correctly registered in your DNS system and assigned to my hosting account?

Thank you.

Welcome to the InfinityFree community forum! Good to have you here.

  • Most people answering here are volunteers. They’re often the fastest source of help. Admin (the only staff member) checks in about once a day for issues on our end.
  • Volunteers can’t see your account or website. Share what you actually see, like error messages and what happens when you try something. That’s more useful than your theory of what’s wrong.
  • AI tools often get InfinityFree wrong. If a volunteer’s advice differs from what an AI told you, please try the volunteer’s suggestion first.
  • Solving an issue is a joint effort. Try the suggestions you get and report back what happened.

Beep boop, I’m a bot! I dug through the forum to get you started. I sometimes get things wrong though, so do with this what you will until a human has a look.

Your account is only a few hours old, and I couldn’t find a source that says what “Website IP: unknown” means or how long a new subdomain takes to resolve everywhere. So I can’t confirm what’s wrong with the registration itself.

What you describe does point at DNS lookups rather than your Laravel site. 1.1.1.1 returns an address, while the resolvers your phones use (your mobile carrier’s, or your sister’s) return NXDOMAIN. A resolver that looked the name up before it existed can keep that “doesn’t exist” answer for a while. That’s general DNS behaviour, not something I found documented for our hosting.

To check this, set the private DNS or DNS server on one phone to 1.1.1.1 (or one.one.one.one) and reload the site. If it loads, the name is fine and the other resolvers just haven’t caught up. If it still fails, it’s something else.

Two other topics describe the same combination of “Website IP unknown” and DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN, but neither has an answer I can rely on, so I can’t say it’s the same cause.

Does the dashboard still show “unknown” now? If it does, and the phones still fail after the 1.1.1.1 test, a person on our staff will need to look at how the subdomain is set up on the account. I can’t do that from here.
