Website URL

dyn.mk

Error Message

The selected custom domain is already in use on InfinityFree. If this is your custom domain, please remove it from any other accounts first.

Other Information

Hi, I am getting the following message when I want to add custom domain, but I know that this domain has never been assigned to another account. Can you check it please, thanks.

Might be worth doing a refresh on your domain page, incase it bliped and tried to add it twice.

Checking, I can see the name servers are at afraid.org? Is this what you expected?

Unfortunaitly the site doesn’t seem to have anything on it to try and hint at who it might belong to

I checked it and I see the domain is assigned to an active hosting account, just not an account owned by you. It even appears to have an actively maintained website setup.

Did you recently obtain the domain name? Or did anyone else have access to it?

I am the owner of the domain, but I don’t remember that I have from the past account that has been associated with this one.

There are many free hosting providers that use the same infrastructure as InfinityFree. If you’ve ever used the domain with any of them, it’ll still count when trying to add it to an account on InfinityFree.

No, this domain really is assigned to an InfinityFree account. Just with a different email address, and also from a different country as far as I can tell.

I can try to authenticate you as the domain owner to remove the domain from the current account.

To verify you own the domain name, can you please configure a CNAME record for your domain name, with these settings?

Once you have added it, I can check and remove the domain from the current account.

Record is created, please check.

Thank you! The record was indeed setup correctly, so I have removed the domain dyn.mk from the account it was previously attached to.

You should now be able to assign it to your new hosting account.

You can also remove the verification CNAME record, it doesn’t serve any further purpose.
