Custom Domain will not connect through CNAME

Error Message

Your domain is not yet pointing to our nameservers ns1.infinityfree . com and ns2.infinityfree.com. Please change your nameservers at your domain name provider and wait a few hours for the changes to take effect.

It can take up to 72 hours for new domains to be accessible everywhere!

This is caused by DNS caching, which InfinityFree cannot control, but there are some workarounds you can try.

Other Information

So I wanted to keep my ns provider(Cloudflare.) I verify my custom domain with CNAME. It says this:

" Your domain name is verified and ready to be added!

One validation is complete, so click the Add Domain button to add it to your account!"

So i tap on ‘Add Domain’ and it says the error that the name servers don’t match. It literally says that I can skip that step. It tells me to Add Domain and when I press it then it says that nameservers aren’t validated yet I want to skip that. I makes no sense!

I’m having the same issue it’s basically saying I can use CNAME but it’s making me bite the bullet and forcing me to use Nameserver validation and it keeps breaking my email

For what it’s worth when I had similar issues, I found the easiest way to fix it was to temporarily set the name servers to infinity free, add it to my account, then set it up in cloudflare and change the name servers back

You can verify your domain name through CNAME records, and never have to change your nameservers if you don’t want to. The error messages may still reference the nameservers though, but that just means that neither the nameservers nor the CNAME records were detected on your domain.

Please note that the client area and the hosting platform check DNS records independently from each other. So while the client area may say the CNAME record is OK, the hosting platform will also check it and may come to a different conclusion due to DNS caching.

If that happens, all you need to do is wait a little bit longer for the changes to take effect.
