Custom domain already in use but not attached to any of my accounts

Error Message

Hello,

I recently purchased the domain “zero4host.online” and I’m trying to add it to my InfinityFree account. However, I get the following error:

“The selected custom domain is already in use on InfinityFree.”

I checked all of my InfinityFree accounts and the domain is not attached to any of them. Could you please remove the old association or help me verify ownership so I can use my domain?

Thank you.

I looked up the domain name, and it seems that the domain was added to another hosting account on our platform on the day it was registered.

Did you perhaps sign up with another email address or Google/GitHub account? Please check your other email accounts for any messages from us.

If you’re having trouble finding it, you can request a password reset based on the domain name. You won’t see the email address, but a password reset email will be sent to it, so you can just check your email accounts and see which one has the email.

Thank you for your reply.

I checked all of my email addresses and I cannot find the InfinityFree account that contains this domain. I also don’t know which email address is linked to it.

Could you please provide further instructions or help me verify ownership of the domain so I can regain access to the account or remove the domain from it?

Thank you.

Hello,

I purchased the domain zero4host.online from Hostinger and added it to InfinityFree. I have checked all of my email accounts and I cannot find any other InfinityFree account that contains this domain.

Since I am the owner of the domain, could you please help me verify ownership and remove the domain from the old account so I can add it to my current account?

I can provide proof of ownership from my Hostinger account if needed.

Thank you.

If you genuinely can’t locate the account it’s attached to, Admin might be able to verify your ownership of the domain by getting you to adjust the Cname or Name Server records to something specific, then he can manually remove it.

To prove you own the domain name, please add the following CNAME record to your DNS settings with your current DNS provider (Hostinger).

  • Type: CNAME
  • Name: 63326ff3d77b606e9454752ae12ebee5
  • Target: ns1.byet.org

When you’ve done this, please reply here so I can check it and remove the domain

Hello,

I have added the requested CNAME record:

Type: CNAME
Name: 63326ff3d77b606e9454752ae12ebee5
Target: ns1.byet.org
TTL: 14400

Please check and remove the domain from the previous account.

Thank you.

Thank you for setting up the record. I have just removed the domain name from the previous account, so you can now assign it to a new one.
