Curious About InfinityFree's Infrastructure and Business Model

Hi InfinityFree Teams or Leader,

I’ve been using InfinityFree for quite a while now and I just wanted to say thank you. It’s honestly one of the best free hosting platforms I’ve come across, and I’ve learned a lot because of it.

There are a few things I’ve always been curious about.

What kind of data centres do you use? Are your servers hosted in Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 or Tier 4 facilities?

I also wonder how InfinityFree manages to offer free hosting to so many people. Running servers for millions of websites can’t be cheap, so I’m curious about how the platform stays sustainable.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that when someone wants to upgrade to paid hosting, they’re taken to iFastNet instead of buying directly from the InfinityFree website. Is InfinityFree part of iFastNet, or do they just work together? I’d love to know how that works.

I completely understand if there are things you can’t share publicly. I’m just really interested in learning how a platform like InfinityFree operates behind the scenes.

InfinityFree is built on the MOFH system, provided by IFastNet. MOFH allows “resellers” to run their own hosting without paying for the data centre. InfinityFree’s income comes from adverts, and a referral fee paid by IFastNet when people upgrade to premium.

IFastNet’s data centres are based in the UK. I don’t know much more than that.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, I’m not employed by InfinityFree, I’m a community member who volunteers my time to help out on the forum.

Admin, runs InfinityFree solo, which in my mind is even more impressive

I don’t quite now. The datacenter is Reliance House in Newcastle Upon Tyne. One website lists it as Tier 2, but that’s not an authoritative source.

For the revenue side, for InfinityFree it’s ads and affiliate kickbacks, for iFastNet it’s premium upgrades.

Another big part is cost reduction. Free hosting still costs a lot of money, but having a completely custom platform optimized for efficiency and high density helps bring down the costs per account a lot. This does mean that some features, resources or functionality may be a bit more restrictive than on premium hosting, but that’s necessary for it to be free.

What happens if someone uses Brave Browser or an ad blocker? Does InfinityFree still earn any revenue from those users?

No. That’s why Admin have implemented adblock recovery and has been asking people to not use one.

That is to say the strongest adblockers can still block these ads. If you happen to have one and wish to support InfinityFree you can add us to your whitelist.
