Hi I am trying to reset my password for cpanelusing the email I registered when setting up the panel, but I never receive the reset email. Its not in the junk/spam folder. My email is an apple mail account. Any suggestions or tips?
You can reset the password for the control panel in the account settings page of the client area, you don’t need to request an email.
If you are having trouble logging into your main InfinityFree account, make sure you have entered the correct email address

My advice: never touch that functionality ever again.
You ca n view and edit the password for your hosting account at any time through the client area. There is no need to ever use the password reset functionality in the control panel.
Should you ever use it, it will break many features in the client area, because those rely on having the correct password in the client area. And the client area can only push the password to the control panel, using the control panel password reset will not update the password in the client area.
Also, the client area assumes that it is the source of truth for your password, and may choose to update your account to have the password it has on file. If you updated the password through the control panel, this will be overwritten, which can break for example your database credentials, and bring down your website.
I hope that this makes it clear to you why you should never touch that functionality ever again.
