DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
I recently registered, and every time I try to enter my control panel, this is the error it gives me. I’ve tried clicking on the thing it shows, for if it doesn’t redirect, it gives the same error.
Welcome to the forum
The redirect seems to be working for me now, so might have been a temporary blip.
What are you trying to do in the control panel? Most everything you can do there, can be more easily done in the general dashboard these days thanks to all of admins hard work.
Hello thx for the response. I just tried again, and it still didn’t work. I’m trying to get into the control panel because I was following a tutorial to move a local WordPress website I built onto Infinity. In the tutorial, I was instructed to go into the control panel once to approve the site, so I could move my website files to htdocs folder in my Infinity file manager. I tried accessing the file manager directly when I couldn’t get into the control panel, but there was nothing in it.
Right, so yeh, Activating FTP is one of the things that’s done the first time you visit the control panel, so that makes sense.
It sounds like something on your network may be blocking the control panel.
Do you get the same error if you try in a private browsing tab? could be a caching issue.
Other than that, the only thing I can suggest is trying a different network to make sure a firewall\admin\your ISP isn’t blocking it for some reason
Using Control panel never works for me but I use this link.
Then use the control panel from manage account this might work for you as well
I just tried a private tab didn’t work I also tried a different network and it also didn’t work. would that only leave my firewall?
thanks for the suggestion I tried but it also didn’t work.
at this point I’m not sure… I’m sure someone else with more knowledge than me will be able to help soon though
Regardless, thank you for the suggestions.
Try a public DNS resolver like Google 8.8.8.8 or Cloudflare 1.1.1.1
Or try using an alternate link like cpanel.epizy.com, cpanel.rf.gd, or cpanel.<any free subdomain extension>.
Fileing these away for future reference
Aight, so I tried these options, and they didn’t work. So I necro’d a few old posts and some people said using a vpn worked, so I tried using a vpn via opera gx and it finally worked. I want to thank everyone for there help and if anyone knows why did it just work with a vpn but nothing else? I tried everything that was mentioned changing internet allowing firewall using a public dns resolver. Nothing worked so why does a vpn work?
This means that something on your end is deliberately blocking the connection, like your company, your antivirus, your ISP, etc, and a VPN could bypass these.
