Change from parked to custom domain?

I recently transferred by lovebyte.eu.org domain name to another infinityfree account because the original one was having the crazy ep glitch

what I really should have done is create a new account as a custom domain instead of creating an infinityfree subdomain and then parking the domain name

i was wondering if there is any way to change this to a custom domain to remove the infinityfree subdomain address ?

thanks

i could create another account as a custom domain and transfer my domain name to it but im scared that i might end up with another weird ep overload issue which ive only just managed to fix

Remove parked domain and add it as addon domain?

thats a possibility, thanks

i might just bite the bullet and make a new account and hope for the best :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

IIRC there is nothing to prevent you from removing the domain another domain is parked on. The parked domain will keep working as if nothing has changed.

Seems safe enough to try to me. Either you’ll get an error message when you try it or you can easily remove and re-add the domain if it does break.

i’ll give it a go  thanks

i think i broke everything :frowning:

— edit —
maybe i just have to wait…

i shouldnt attempt things when exhausted, sorry

@Admin I read your post about removing the domain from the parked domain but I think I was too tired at the time and didnt follow what you meant, sorry

What I did do is remove the parked domain from the cpanel on the subdomain account

I then set the name servers on lovebyte.eu.org to ns1.epizy.com and ns2.epizy.com

I then created a new custom domain account and gave it lovebyte.eu.org as the domain

I hope I did this correctly

now im just waiting on nameservers to complete so that pesky cloudflare “lovebyte.eu.org is not a registered domain” will go through

actually Ive just discovered that when I created a new account with custom domain it had created /htdocs

but when i removed the addon domain and created a new addon it created /lovebyte.eu.org/htdocs

so there were now two websites /htdocs and /lovebyte.eu.org/htdocs which had me confused for a moment

I deleted /htdocs and uploaded the site to /lovebyte.eu.org/htdocs

Everything seems to be working now except just a few countrys havent updated to cloudflare name servers yet

Thanks again for the help :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:
